Record songs from radio to HD

Hi everyone. Just pickup my G37Xs, prem, nav, last week. I read the manual front to back and know you can rip CD to HD. For some reason I thought you can record songs off the radio or am I a victim of advertisement Or I should stop hitting that crack pipe.

I wouldn't be suprized if the dealer told you this. I've heard of them telling people all kinds of crazy things to try and sell the car. But I agree with the others, probably the crack pipe.

Well, you could be thinking about the Cadillac CTS. It has a tivo-like feature for radio. It records up to an hour of whatever you're listening to (FM, AM, XM). It can also continue to record for up to an hour after you turn the car off if you want it to. So if you were listening to some talk show but had to run into some place to take care of some business, you wouldn't miss anything.
So not exactly a permanent recording but cool for rewinding if you hear something you want to hear again.

It'd be nice if Infiniti threw in something like this. Sure it's a useless feature but many "lux" features are and it wouldn't really cost a lot for them to add if you already have a hard drive in the car. It would really just be a software enhancement for the NAV package and then they could have another lux "feature" they could add to the list and trumpet in marketing.
