Audio Gurus pls help
ok guys i decided last week i was going to install some subs and an amp that i had kicking around, so i put the box together got it all wired up and it doesn't really sound great. (IE doesn't really pound hard)Now I didn't port the box so I'm not sure whether that's the problem or the equipment im using isn't configured correctly. Before cutting a hole in the box that I'm using i figured I'd find out what you guys have to say.
Here is what I'm using.

and 2

wired in series
The way I wired it is i spliced 3, 8 and 9 Out of B43 with an rca cable and plugged the rca into the amp. There aren't that many settings on the side of the amp I'm just wondering whether I should go out and buy a hi low converter and wire it that way? any suggestions or input would be great. This is my first time installing something but I've followed the DIY so I'm pretty sure it is done right. I mean everything works just seems lackluster.

if u want it to pound, port the box...but don't just drill the hole, there's actually a tube that goes inside the hole, and depending on the sub and box, that tube has to be a specific length to make it sound good and also specific diameter...do some research
how many watts is the amp, and how many watts are the subs
how many channels does the amp have
also what is the ohm rating on the subs
if for instance you have a 4 channel amp, than maybe think about sending 2 channels to each sub

Thanks guys, but after messing around i figured out what the problem was. it was due to the fact i had the subs running in series it was too much for the amp to take so i wired them individually and now it pounds. The box is a custom one my friend and I put together. I'll be putting some pics of up in the next few days when i have all the wiring hidden
Thanks for the input
