which side did most of you run the wires from the battery to the trunk? is there an opening under the passenger side of the dash to run wires through?

Look in the battery box compartment . There is a grommet on the fire wall going into the car and comes out behind the glove box. Run the wires down the passenger side because the signal wires for the rest of the system are on the drivers side.

Take off the battery cover thing, and then the plastic peice that connects to the windshield. There should be a rubber grommet in the very corner on the passenger side, which feeds straight into the cabin.

Run that power wire under the plastic peice where you step on, on the passenger side, and on the rear quarter panel into the trunk.

i wish i took pics.. its kind of hard to explain.

Is the firewall access hole that giant rubber thing? If so, how do I get it off?

Yes, that giant rubber thing is it! I squeezed it while trying to pull up one side and once that one side came out, it was easy to work out the rest.

Maybe I'm blind, but I can't seem to find that "giant" grommet on my 09x Sedan. However, there is a TINY rubber grommet right behind the battery, and it looks like I'll have to remove the battery to finish the install.

I saw flame retardent material under the grommet, but when I tried to poke a hole through it I saw a spark fly out . Is there something I'm missed the boat on? Maybe the wiring bundle on the sedans are different ?
