Strange iPod Rooting Menu Issue...

Not sure how to explain this, so I am just going to give the process in which I receive the error.

I have done the iPod Artist "Shortcut mod" by place the first letter of the Artist name in the Genre field in iTunes. That being said, lets say I go to letter 'R' to play a song by 'Red', but suddenly change my mind and want to play a song by Linkin Park. So I BACK out and go to 'L' - but it won't let me select 'L'. It will highlight it and 'flash or blink' like its recognizing the 'ENTER' selection but won't go into the 'L' menu.

I have to back out all the way to main list where it has ARTIST, GENRE, ect. Then start over and select 'L'. Then it will let me get into the L menu. It does this with all letters, I just used 'R' and 'L' as an example.

Does anyone else have this issue? Is it a known issue or have a fix?

Thank you in advance!

Not what I wanted to hear - with as many electrical issues I have had with my car you would think Infiniti would give in and admit there is a major issue somewhere.

But it doesn't really surprise me as they have failed 4 times to fix a "sticky" Preset A-B-C button. Not really rocket science. Oh the service department...

This was happening to my iphone not ipod. I spoke to my service department about it. They said that the ipod navigation system was made to work with an Ipod and that it was prob an issue only with the iphone.

Guess that means its neither the iPod or iPhone, as I have both and the issue occurs with each of them. So therefore, its the Nav system...

I have experienced this issue too, but it's always been temporary. Love to know if there is a fix though.

I wish there was a fix - I guess for now its just another thing to add to the list until I am back in DFW near a dealer. Only if Lubbock had a dealer or is Infiniti/Nissan would allow a Nissan dealer to work on my car. It can't be THAT hard...

I have the same problem, which is why i strictly use playlists now. I also hate how the Preset A-B-C has so many presets, i just want it to cycle between A, CD, Musicbox, and Aux. Dont need it to go through B and C, i dont use those ;\

"crapy" is far to generous of a description of the G's interface software.
