connecting and unconnecting hardwired passport

I bought the solo s2 wireless radar detector so that I could remove it when I leave the car so it would appear there is nothing worth breaking into it for (last car got broekn into twice).

The problem is I think the solo sucks. It has only gone off 3 times for actual cops, and all three times they were about 50 yards away. I see them way before the damn thing goes off. Maybe I just got auto targeted all the times, but I don't feel like it provides much security so I want to sell it I think....

My question is...I obviously don't want cords hanging so I was thinking of getting the passport and stealthcord. Is it a PITA to remove it from the windshield everytime I get out of the car and connect it back when I get in, unless parked at home or my gf's house....? Also wouldn't the hanging wire let potential thieves know there is usually something wired there, so it's probably in the car.... ?

thanks guys/girls

Get a passport and stealthcord. It is not hard at all to unhook it and remount it. The cord will most likely be hidden from the tint strip at the top of your windshield. If not, you could easily wrap it around your mirror.

I just finally got my stealthcord after owning a radar detectory for 5 years. I always thought it was hard. Then I just found out this week that it is a piece of cake. Like plugging in a PS3. Then the other side connect to your radar detector like normal.
