trouble with new ipod nano.. help!

trouble with new ipod nano.. help!

The new ipod nano will not charge in my car when on the factory ipod adaptor.. my old one works fine.. am i missing something here?

and will i still retain all current functions of the ipod factory interface(ie screen, steering wheel controls.. etc etc)? thanks in advance for the quick response!
