i do try to speak a bit louder when i use my bluetooth. with the same voice tone, i talked to my g/f from her lexus es350 once w/ her hands-free and she thought i was yelling at her. so lexus has the advantage in this one. maybe it has somethin to do w/ the fact that our cabin noise is louder...?

and once in a while, the first word(s) i speak in the car isn't received by the person on the other end. typical example is:

[after placing a phone call]
person: hello?
me: what's up.
person: ...hello?
me: what's up.
person: oh hey what's up.
