I've never experienced that with my stero, but I don't have nav. Don't know if that makes a difference. Maybe someone will chime in who has the same problem. Good luck thou.

Had an issue this morning. It was strange....I started my car and i could barely hear any sound coming from the speakers (but there was some sound...very faint). The volume **** was unresponsive. I tried cycling through my ipod, XM, and the regular radio....nothing. When I put a CD in, it seemed to fix the problem. I'll have to keep an eye (or ear) on this.

I had it happened to my car just two days ago. I got Navi and XM.
But when it happened, it was extremely hot outside... ~96 degrees. After about 5 minutes it worked again.
But when it happend, it was not limited just to the radio, the a/c functions and nav weren't working with it.

Also, when I had my tint installed, the installer left my car on with the heater blasting to hasten the curing process. Heater was running for about 20 to 30 minutes at full power. When I finally got to my car to leave, the nav screen along with the radio function shut down. (But I got a message on the screen that the system was hot and it has to cool down to operate)

...depending on where you were, perhaps it was hot?

Not hot where I am....it was about 60 Degrees F. Also, my other nav functions seemed to be working. Didnt' try the A/C.

Had a similar experience last Sunday.

First drive of the day and the car was cool (it lives in the garage). The stereo, nav and air were not working with no response to any of the controls.

About two miles down the road the system "re-booted" itself. The Infiniti logo came up on the screen, it went through the start up procedure and everything went back to normal.

No problems since. Strange.
