So what exactly do you use the Aux for?
I've seen aftermarket GPS systems plugged in....but looks complicated...ipods...what was the ideal intent of why the aux is there? what do you all use it for??

You use when you use the input jacks. Most people use it for their video ipods/iphone. I use mine for my iphone sometimes, The sound quality is wayyy better than using the factory cable.

what cables did you use for your iphone?? i bought a 3 prong a/v cable for the ipod and it doesn't work

There's only one cable right now that works for the iphone. Only apple has it right now. Just go to the apple store and ask for the a/v cable that works with the iphone.

i use it for my ipod iphone and my xbox 360 lol...thinking about putting a ps2 slim in the glove compartment for those long trips

qualities alright unless your playing something with little maps or legends on the side then its really hard to play lol

I use the aux for movies and tv shows on my iPhone... While rolling down the street.
