Does anybody know if it is possible to add the navigation package post-purchase?

i heard nope.

They (dealer) had a car with everything i wanted (colors and options) but navigation on it and I asked if they could add it. They said it was not possible to add it, but if it's just a module maybe you can buy it as a part?

Check out this thread. It's the best alternative, and allows you to integrate it into the factory display.

I inquired about this when I was purchasing as they did not have the car color and options I wanted. It was going to cost well over $3k, the screen had to be replaced along with the addition of the Nav unit, HD etc.. Not worth it.
