ipod cable problem

I just got my ne w G37, and when I hook up my ipod touch and coil the cable to fit the ipod in the console, I get spotty connection, and when I go over a bump, the ipod intermittently disconnects. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it a defective cable?

Mine was doing that the day I picked my G up, had to have the cord replaced. I'm pretty sure several other people have also had this problem and replacing the cord seems to do the trick. Call your dealers parts department and have them order you a new one. When you go to pick it up have a service personel write it up under warranty.

Yep... mine did the same thing and I had the cord replaced to fix it. Now it's got what sounds like a ground hum when I'm on iPod. That'll be the topic of discussion (along with the muffler rattle) at my next service trip to the dealer.
