Auto tilt on the passenger side mirror?

Hi,

Has anyone tried installing the module that can make your passenger side mirror auto tilt when in reverse?

I had this function on my MB and BMW before and it helped me park close to the curb w/o getting curb rash. Wanted to have it done to my G37 as they have beautiful rims....

I think KPtechnologies says they have a module for it. just wondering if anyone has tried it...

Thanks!

I haven't, but someone had a great suggestion for using the programmable driver settings for this purpose. I tried it out and it's effective. Basically, I just use 1 for my driving and 2 for a curb check and getting out more easily--it tilts both mirrors down, pulls the steering wheel in and puts the seat in a position where it's easier to get out. In practice, I only use it when I want to verify my park or I feel a bit close to other cars. Also, sometimes I just put it into reverse for a quick rear cam check on my position.

If you have the feature, I recommend trying out this approach before considering the mod.

^^Good idea on the mirror move with the seat button. It is good for getting out of the car but I never thought of using it to move the mirrors as well.

Interesting idea. I'm just so lazy from my MB. I'd really like to have an auto tilt on my mirror. I guess i'll be a guinea pig.....

Here I was thinking I just went and did something original... and someone beat me to it.

This works great when backing into spots. I use it all the time now. The only draw back is that you have to be in 'park' to get the mirrors to move when you hit the driver setting buttons.
