damn the AV composite plug is like 49.99 from Apple everywhere!!!

are there any 3rd party ones that work well!

Is this guy right? because i try hooking up my iphone too see a video and all i saw was nothing an heard only the people talking

the dock connecter is not necessary i thought just the AV composite was good enough alone with the gen6 ipod classics! can any1 verify this? i thought the dock was just to make the damn thing stand up for aesthetics

Nope. From what I know, it's proprietary.

I had an old pile of junk ipod sitting around that I use in the car, put all my fav song on it and it just sits in the center console and my nice new ipod is used for the other stuff.
