The New JL subs w5s !
very shallow mounts and small enclosures...
I think im and going to wait on these...
What does everyone think?
go to JL.com and see all the new amps and subs etc.
WOW Bro I have never seen those before (haven't been looking either ; ] ) but wow those are quite sick! If I didn't already own 3 12" W6's I would get one of those ASAP! JL, IMO, is the only way to go Subwoofer wise, this should be an excellent seller. 2.5" thick 12-13" 500W RMS, can't get any better than that!!
Glad to see you finally got your Sig/Ava figured out!

JL is making ... i guess a stealth box or whatever they will call it for the G35 Sedan for a 13.5 thinline tw5 in the REAR DECK.
I guess they have a place for a sub back there... anyone confirm or have a pic of the rear?

Not again...... Just because some guy at an audio store told you they are the best doesnt mean he is right. JL's have been winning comp shows for years and years now. Last time i checked JL W7's held the record for the highest DB. Sorry buddy but JL is the best right now.
anyways those are bad ***. I might have to sell my W7's

no i have not installed them yet. I have two 10"s but i only plan on installing one. or well was only planning on installing one until seeing those W5's. I have a friend who works at sound advice and he is drawing up a couple sketches for me of different designs for the truck. The key for me is keeping the most space. The current idea is just cutting a whole in the center and removing the spare tire. A few people have done that already. but with that W5 i might be able to go the same thing but keep the spare

Yea can you imagine 2 13.5s of those just needing 1.5 cubic ft of space? i hope i can fit 13s if not then def. 12s... the 13s may have to be at a slant angle to go all the way back in the trunk... Im loving the possiblities also as my goal was the most bass but keep as much trunk as possible. Before I was toying with 1 w7 or 1 soloX.
I would love to be able to stick 2 of these Tw5s in the front doors... I just dunno how long I can wait for these... may have to slap a small temp sub in the trunk....
