Do you leave the iPod plugged in after you turn off the car?

I'm pretty sure the iPod will turn itself off, but I didn't wanna test it.

Do you guys just leave it plugged in after you turn the car off?

Thanks!

Yes. The only time I take it out of the car is to add music.

Yes,

It goes off automatically. Never had a problem yet and I leave it plugged in most of the time.

I take my iPhone with me for obvious reasons. But I'm not sure why you guys would leave your iPods in the car. It's an easy theft item.

It's in the console. Unless they can see it, there is no reason to break in. Until of course the average car thief gets to know that there is an ipod interface in the G37 and they just might find one there.

Actually mine does not turn off. I have an Ipod nano. (not the newest wide one, but the one before the newest one. mine is the tall skinny one.) Anyway, I've noticed on many occasions that if I leave it plugged in at night and come back in the morning, the Ipod will still be on and the battery will be like 1/4 empty. Also the following has happened as well. I come to a stop, turn the car off... disconnect the ipod without touching any of the buttons. the ipod will stay on forever, unless you un-pause it and then pause it again. Then the ipod will turn off after like 30 seconds.

I'm not sure if i'm the only one whos is having this problem. I posted on g35 driver and it seemed like no one else was having the problem or maybe no one is noticing it since they just get in the car and drive away. I would suggest some of you test this out.

gotmyg, Sounds like the problem I am having with my pod. I charge it all the way up hooked to the computer, put it back in the car and it lasts about a week with daily driving, about an hour of charge a day. Eventually it will get to where it is completely dead and will not turn on until you turn on the car.

This is a bug. It must be fixed.

Press and Hold Play/Pause Button to put iPod into Sleep Mode, after I believe 10-20 Minutes it will Turn off, But Make sure you hold the button not just Pause the Song.

If That does not work try the Same thing with the Menu Button

my problem is that most of the time, the IPOD doesnt start playing again when I return to the car. The system is on and shows iPod as the source, but to start play I need to track select up or down. Anyone? But, every once in a while, car starts and play begins automatically.
