Any thoughts on what sounds better....the spare tire install with the speaker directed upwards or the Zenclosures box with speaker(s) directed backwards???? Anything weird about the install to mesh with the Bose setup????

How about mounting a sub to the side instead? I've been looking around for something like that and haven't really seen anything, even for the G35. I'm thinking the sub on one side and the amp on the other with some plexiglass...

Oh btw this is my first post, I picked up my Black Obsidian G Sport on 11/1..

Wow, that is an excellent idea I should have thought of that

Did you do a search on the G35driver.com under the Audio forum? Obviously not newbie, a G35 member actually fabricates a driver and passenger side sub enclosure for the G35 and G35c. The members name is 4080, who is also producing a prototype for the G37 very soon.

Please look at my thread in this forum.

Ok cool I'll check out the one for the G35 - I just think it's a very viable idea because it still lets you fold down the seats for extra storage. One thing I've never liked about subs is the compromise required on space, esp in something as small as the G Coupe's trunk. I could take out the spare tire, but you know something will go wrong right after I do that.

I'm going to a local install shop that put LEDs under my doorhandles for the Audi A4 that I'm so desperately trying to get rid of. If 4080 doesn't have a good solution anytime soon, I'll see if this guy can hook me up with a custom enclosure, and if I do it I'll post some pics.

Sweet GDogg, it always good to have another viable options. I actually had a 4080 subenclosure in my G35c, fit and finish was excellent. Also, the sound was great with just one 10" JLW3V2. I would literally have turn down my bass **** on long drives just cause I would get a headache.

Is the wiring with the Bose system going to require a high / low converter using the speaker leads in lieu of a pre-out setup??

Hey 707,

Did you tap the signal from the woofers as it was coming out of the HU? Was it easy to do?
