Anyone know where I can get a Mirror mount for a Bel 995 radar detector?

So can I assume the size for the g37 is the same as the g35?

You need the 23mm version.

great link here as it shows a mount for my escort 8500. I seem to recall someone writing about how to wire the detector to the mirror so that you don't need the cord running to the cigarette lighter outlet. Can anyone help with how to make the connection? thanks

 

i'm having my passport 8500 plus laser shifters installed tomorrow at sound advice. they are doing a custom mount for the radar itself so i will see what they come up with....

 

Will My Mount from my 03 G35 Sedan Work with the G37?

 

What did sound advice come up with for your radar mount?

I not too fond of the "Mikes mount" as the pics I've seen show the detector about 1 additional inch lower below the mirror than it seems necessary...

They just used the standard mount that comes with the radar but wired everything through the room so you dont see everything. i will snap a pic tomorrow and post...

 

here are the pics of the mount. as you can see they put the detector up right at the roof line. Its at a bit of an angle so it faces right at my eyes which is nice. Then i have the laser front rear single reader right on the steering colum....

I've always placed my detectors just to the left of the rear view mirror. I don't like the suction cups, mine are probably old and with extreme temperature fluctuations one cup sometimes lets go leaving the detector hanging by just one other. I do have extra new cups I'm going to use when I swap cars, hopefully that will help. Still debating a mirror mount, I like the no suction cup approach, just not the below the mirror location.
