Whats the largest compact flash card that can be used in the G37? would like 4 gig CP cards work?

O yea and i have one other question, if i burn whole bunch of mp3 into DVD disc, would it be able to play it?

There is a 512 song limit on the CF card. So I would say don't bother with anything greater than 4GB. That's what I did.

Also, while the CD player can read mp3s, it still needs to be a CD, and not a DVD. I'm not 100% sure on that, but I'd bet good money on it.

Yup, the optical drive is CD only and also keep in mind you cannot rip MP3's into the harddrive directly from a CD. It has to be a regular CD. I hope Infiniti remedies this with a firmware update or something.

You cannot rip MP3's files from a CD to the HD.

No, you cannot. The only way to get songs onto the HDD is via ripping plain-jain audio CDs. You could burn an audio CD from mp3s and then rip it, but I'd only do this if space were tight on the CF card.

You know the reason why...

You gotta know that RIAA somehow had a hand in this. The ability to copy MP3s from CD/CF to the HDD makes it too easy to make 'illegal copies'.. not that I'd ever condone doing this. By forcing the system to only accept Audio CDs, they 'assume' that the person owns the original, and therefore can make a for personal use copy on the HDD.

Pain the butt, takes longer to transfer files.. but at least it can be done.
