G37 S.O.W Speakers?

I've looked for info on the 11 speakers that are included in the SOW system found in the G37, but I haven't found any info. Could somebody give me the sizes and locations of the speakers? The salesman I met with yesterday during my test drive was clueless when it came to this.

Thanks.

+1 for this info request! I don't have the car yet but I will. I'm pretty sure that unless any of the members here consider themselves hardcore audiophiles they are not very likely to dismantle their dash, doors, etc. to replace a sound system that they think sounds great as it is in a brand new $40K+ automobile. But I'm very interested in knowing speaker sizes, locations, and mounting depths so I can weigh my options. I'm not a huge fan of Bose and how they like to determine what sounds good rather than letting the listener determine how music should sound. I know that the SOW has 11 speakers. Infiniti advertises that there are 3 way components up front with 10" woofers in the doors but where are the others mounted, what size are they, and how deep is the installation depth?

Thank you my Canadian friend for the diagram. Any chance that you'd have the accompanying legend to describe the speakers that correspond with each number? I'd like to be able to shop for replacement amps and speakers.

In each door: 1" soft dome tweeter/3" neodymium-magnetic midrange/ 10" neodymium-magnetic woofer. Backseat area, 1 6.5" full range fill on each side. Same for the front center speaker. 2x 10" neodymium-magnetic woofers in the rear deck.

whatever they are, they sound AWESOME. this is without a doubt the best stock system i've ever heard; especially with the driver audio stage enabled. it sounds better than the mark levinson in the IS350 i test drove... and MILES better than the stock 335i coupe i test drove.

i find that if i choose the "Rock" EQ setting in my iPhone, the highs and lows pump up perfectly and it's just blissful how great it sounds. i won't be adding a sub to this car as i originally intended.

Based on the schematics, there is a LOT of room for improvement in this system. That's not to say it sounds bad, quite the contrary. This is the best stock sound system I've ever heard, and that's saying a lot coming out of my '06 TL with the ELS surround system that does true 5.1 surround sound from DVD-A discs.

That being said, for having 2 10" woofers, 3 6.5's, and 2 6x9's, the bass could be a lot sharper and deeper. The biggest question is going to be how much clearance there is in the doors for aftermarket woofers. The Acura guys had a lot of luck replacing the stock 8" sub with JL products because they tend to work well free-air.

So who's going to be the first to crack the door open and get some measurements / pictures?
