There are no dimensions given anywhere in the FSM, but judging from past Bose experience, I would say few if any aftermarket subwoofers will fit. Take for instance the 350Z Bose subwoofer. They stated it was a 10", but in reality it was more like 11". A 10" wouldnt fit because the cutouts were too small, although some customizing could be done to make it fit.

I am betting you could fit some shallow mount subwoofers in place of the stock ones using some custom mounting brackets. But again you will run into issues since the Bose subwoofers are usually free-air type, meaning there is not a sealed enclosure.

Again this is all speculation, but is based on experience with Bose systems on all types of vehicles. If I had my hands on one, I could pop the doors off in a matter of minutes to verify this.

I find it hard to believe that my coupe has 2 10" woofers and the bass is not pounding ?# ?:/

Any one added a true sub or modified the rear deck for a deeper bass? Maybe they are under powered ?!

I know JL Audio has slim line subs....that might be a route to try. Damn, replacing that many speakers is gonna be pricey! LoL

Thinking the same thing...the guys say we have 10" woofers stock. That would be an awesome upgrade in the stock spot

Woofers, not SUBwoofers.

Subwoofers >80Hz

We dont have them.

Then where would you get your low mid/high lows from?

Subs dont reproduce above 100Hz very well.

The door woofers. Besides there is already too much MID and the stock 6x9s in the rear are so weak..

So replace the rear 6X9 with a stronger set or some coaxials, swap the woofers for some subs...should be pretty nice I am thinking. I might try eventually but I have 2 12" Diamond Audio subs that I need to figure out what to do with. Might sell em and try these shallow JL's. Idk

Did anyone actual get into the doors ro see what the stock 10s looked like?

Also has anyone else noticed the immediate sound adjustment of the door woofers when the window goes down? Is that the system cutting power to the door subs because of the window lowering? Or a change in the air space and acoustics??
