Here is a voice recognition cheat sheet for your G37. I printed a copy out and kept it in my car until I became familiar with all of the commands and found it really came in handy.

i recall someone in that original G35Driver thread had modified it to print on both sides in three columns. is that still around?

it would be handy to laminate that particular one and fold it up for quick reference.

 

Doesnt the display show a list of all available commands? Or is that only with the nav package?

 

from what i experienced on my way home from the dealer.. when the voice button was pressed my g37 showed four our five common voice commands on the screen .. last one being help.. which when called will pull up a help menu you can navigate through to discover all of those hidden commands. i'd be interested to know what if any differences there are between this version of the system and the one in the 2007 sedans. i know Garnets been playing with his for a while and would definatley be the one to answer these questions.. at least until i've had a few days to get used to it.

 

One thing to note is that (according to my sales guy) when you say the voice command, Temperature, it only adjust for the driver side not both.
So i guess to adjust both sides you have to do it individually?
I hope my guy was wrong about this, perhaps you can let us know BM.

This is true... if you say "temperature 70" it'll only change the drivers side to 70. Doesn't seem like it should function that way, but it does. BM... is yours doing it any differently?

 

you have to say "Temperature Driver 70", then "Temperature Passenger 75"

 

But what if you want to adjust both driver and passenger to 70?
You should be able to say, "Temperature 70" and it should do both sides in one command like it does on the sedan.

Thats not the case in the coupe? Thats a stupid oversight. Maybe the programmer forgot a line in the code lol.

if you want dual, you say "..driver.." then "..passenger.."

if you want auto and one temp throughout, you say "temperature XX"

 

That was not the case as demonstrated in the you tube link i posted up in an earlier post in this thread.

He said "Temperature 65" but the passenger temp stayed 60... they both did not change to "one temp throughout"

Any thoughts, since ur lucky enough to have ur coupe already? Does it work like that for you, or what?

I don't think I've seen BM on here today otherwise he could post his experience as well... he musta been out driving all day! I can't wait to be like that, lol.

Okay, here is how it works. If you've got your temperature set to change with both zones at the same time, your voice command will change both zones simultaneously. However if you have your driver's side set to a different temp than the passenger's side, than you'll have to issue two different commands......"temperature driver xx" and "temperature passenger xx" Does that help?

 

ahh gotcha! Both have to be set to the same to change to the same one when u just say "Temperature."
If one is 65, and the other 60, and you want both to go to 70 then you have to do it one at a time. If they were both already at 65 and u wanted both to go to 70 then just saying "Temperature" would work on both at the same time.
