Go use some 6" pipes for your exhaust and see what the result is. Without forced induction, 3" is just simply too much for the car.

In for pics and vids OP.

Too much for NA engines, eh? That was the conventional wisdom on the Org for years, until a trusted manufacturer started making 3" cat-backs. The gains were proven time and time again on the dyno. The fitment was tight, and it was hella loud, but there are always compromises with modifying for performance.

Of course, that was the 3.5 liter VQ, so apples vs. oranges. And Conventional Wisdom is based on convenient logic, after all.

OH, question! The Ebay pick only shows a mid pipe and muffler section, does it include a Y pipe or not? If not it is not a true cat-back, but I'm OK with that since I have an exhaust depot Y.[/quote]

Can someone explain this please. Am also interested.

Sounds nice enough. Better than OEM. The fitment looks a little low, however, which in turn makes it look like the tips are sticking out a bit much seeing as how they are round beveled-edge, rather than oval and rolled. Would you agree? Do you think it could be brought up into the car another 1/2" or so?

By the third pic i can tell it is the stock Y pipe. So answered my own question. Not a true cat back. Ok though.

For $420 shipped i'm very pleased. I've had my fun with my GTO so i'm not looking for a lot of power out of this car. I'll post more pics when i install my rear diffuser, lip spoiler, and chin spoiler. Those should be in sometime next month!!

Seriously, WTF are you talking about? It's an aftermarket exhaust for parts from the catalytic converter BACK. What exactly do you think a cat-back is?

He means not a tue DUAL exhuast because there is a y pipe not x or h pipe.

NO & NO! Know WTF you are talking abut before talking all hostile. Yes a cat-back exhaust is ALL exhaust components from the rear of the catalytic converters back. For the G that consists of a Y-pipe, mid pipe, and muffler rear section. 3 components.

Infiniti G35 G37 Sedan 07-11 Catback Exhaust System Systems by Top Speed Pro-1 | eBay

As you can see, Top Speed Pro only pictures a mid pipe and rear muffler section(s). So, my original question was, is it a true cat-back with a y pipe that may not have been in the photo since everyone was referring to it as a cat back. BUT in the third picture that the OP provided, I can visually see he has the STOCK y pipe. SO AS I SAID - this is not a true CAT BACK exhaust. It would be a Y-pipe back system. 1 short of a cat back and 1 more than an axle back.

Anyone that knows what they are talking about or anything about cars would know what I am saying. Understand?

Now that's funny as hell
BTW Deeprumble, thanks for the pics and sound clip, I like the way it turned out and for the price I'm definitely considering it.
