Mi intent is only to be helpful...

...but c'mon, don't you boys and girls understand what happens when you drive your car off the lot, let alone put 12K miles on the car - plus, turn on the news why don't ya; we're in a recession, new cars aren't selling and gas is through the roof. Geez, do yourself a favor and set a realistic price!

Yeh.. TaKe it to a Carmax get a written offer add about $1500 for private sale and that's the most you will get. Realistically I'd say you will get less than $33k whether you realize it or not so don't pass up a "good" offer.

you guys are right... but I wont be selling the car if I wasnt moving over seas... the main problem comes due to the car being on lease. I pay 639.00 a month but the dealership advised to sell the car instead of going into the whole swap a lease deal since I will still be liable.I cant early terminate the car lease since it hasnt been 1 yr.

How exactly do you sell a car that you're leasing? does that mean you are obligated to buy it at the price the dealer put down on your lease? If so you had better find out what that is.

The dealership guy said I currently owe 39050 on this car. I didnt get it at first but I am thinking if I converted my lease to buy thats how much I wud need to pay to get this car. I am thinking of taking it to carmax and if I have to pay 5-6K i guess I will do that and get rid of it....

Wow that sucks I guess you can't negotiate the price of the vehicle anyways, seem like you got the car when it first came out your lease is awfully high even for a fully loaded 37 on a short leasse term.

We understand I would hate to be in your position, at least with selling the car, given your circumstances you're going to take a big hit from the big hit (purchase price) you already took! Well better luck when you get back. Where are you headed and for how long?
