Athens Blue G37S coupe build
Well, I bought a new grocery getter but unfortunately I cant keep anything stock, I'm pathetic. This will be ongoing and slower paced but I'll do it all myself, no grubby mechanic hands ever touch any of my cars. Expect lot's of pictures and feel free to ask me anything along the way.
My goal is to simply have a fast/reliable car, not cheap, I don't care..
Represent! It's not as sky blue as it appears, its a pretty close match.
Replaced the OEM y-pipe with a Top Speed since the flex area was thrashed. The rear bolts wouldn't come off so I pulled out the ol' grinder, worked like a charm.
Swapped the TSXR lense over just last night, what a pain in the *** that was.
The wheels were the first things done. Avant Garde M310 - 19x9.5F - 19x11R - BFGoodrich G-Force Comp-2 - 245/40 and 275/35
After seeing that wheel gap and thrashed fender trim I ordered Tein S. Tech springs, SPC camber bolts for the rears and OEM fender liner.
Next was the Tail as Turn harnesses, this was worth every penny, they look so much cleaner this way.
Grabbed the Unorthodox crank and alternator pulleys.
Figured I would mention the previous owner installed this 8" JL Audio sub, it sounds great but I HATE sub boxes. I'll probably swap it for a 10" and get a little side sub box made to fit in the little cubby where the net connects.
I've got some more things in the mail but I'll post as I get them.. I welcome all comments, negative, positive, pointless, doesn't matter.
Thanks!

Just installed my Tanabe axle back mufflers, sounds amazing.
Also, I have thought about it and am going to go ahead and swap the auto 5 speed for a 6 speed manual. Everyone has told me to sell the car and buy another because of all the cost. I would agree if I had to worry about labor but I do all of my own work and this is a fairly cheap/easy swap, so stay tuned.
Here's the trans, only has 33k miles and shifts like butter.

Off to a great start Kris, and kudos for doing it all yourself, I don't let anyone else mess w/ my car either
Taking the lights apart is a PITA but worth it in the end.
Looking forward to more.
Nice wheel choice BTW, would be helpful to post the offsets if you have them handy

Got the mufflers installed and found there's a stripped stud on the driver side cat causing a leak. They wanted to replace it but I figured I'll just get Fast Intentions RHFC instead.
Also, since everyone is saying it's next to impossible and too expensive, I'm going to do it. I'm gathering manual swap parts now.

Very curious to see the outcome of the 6mt swap. If you could post the details and any challenges you faced during the swap it would be great.
Also the tsx lens swap, is it easy as taking out the oem lens and putting in the tsx lens? Or does the cutoff get messed up and needs further tuning/adjustment?

As for the lenses yes, as easy as swapping the lens out and putting it back together, absolutely plug and play. That being said, taking apart the headlight is definitely a chore.

Oh they're hideous, the previous owner installed them by drilling out huge ovals in the OEM faux grill. He bent some metal strapping and bolted them to the metal bumper. DONT do it this way. Get OEM replacements or at least measure the grill for a cleaner/closer fit. I'll be grabbing the '11+ Sport bumper so its all temporary.

I'm in love with this build man! And I have soooooo much respect for you for doing all the work yourself! And the automatic to manual swap is bad a ss! If I had the skill set at all to do it I would in a heartbeat! Keep up the excellent work and can't wait to see the turnout!

Now that I saw that I can't unsee it
Glad you have a contingency plan
Looking forward to the details of the 6mt swap too, you're putting a lot of effort into this and it's paying off.

Wait, did I read correctly, Auto to Manual swap??? How hard/much/time consuming was that? I'd like to have a manual, but figured cost and time would be preventative in doing a conversion.
