Status Elite are too overrated IMO.

 

Fujis sounded great, until the Status Elite came out. Finally found the sound I was looking for without an exhaust.

Well I figure that mods such as intake/exhaust for our NA cars for performance gains is a waste, especially without a tune. And seeing as how I don't like any of the exhausts out for the G37 (waiting on the Meistershaft), any exhaust/intake you get is for sound/looks. Having said that, the Status Elites sound best.

 

get a plastic tube, paint it "gold", put a number between 1-22 on it, then run it without a filter.

You forget, that sticker needs to fall off. Also ensure that it is impossible to install the MAF sensor.

you can get hfc and r2c's for cheaper price than a SE intake

Are you basing the loudness of SE's intake on videos? It's a lot of money to spend. I'm guess if you hear it in person you won't notice that much of a difference between the JWTs and SEs. I've heard both in person and driven both.
