New tires and wheels/ TPMS???

Hey guys. I just purchased a set of wheels and new tires as well. I am looking for a set of TPMS sensors for the new set so i can use my old wheels and tires for winter. My question is, has anyone used any aftermarket TPMS sensor? Or should i just buy the infiniti sensors? I know i will have to have the system synched to the car after install of new wheels. But i want to know if i am able to use aftermarket sensors or should i bite the bullet and just pay for the infiniti sensors? I also noticed that you can buy rebuilt sensors. Is this a good idea or not? Thanks for any info

People have tried all those options with success (I personally prefer the rebuilds)...there are several threads on here for the last year or two with part numbers and links to ordering aftermarket, new and rebuilds, welcome to the site....get to diggin around...

I had Discount Tire install the sensors they carry (brand unknown) when I installed coupe wheels. There are only five types out there and they should last at least five years, so not much to worry about.

Year model

What year model is your G? I have a 2008 and recently I bought new tires to be mounted on IPL wheels from a 2013 with sensors that were not compatible with my car. The sensor frequency is different from what I understand for the ‘08-10’s that’s at 314.9MHz. The ‘11-13’s are at 315MHz.

Check this out and plug in your car year, make and model to find out the frequency for your car: https://us.continental-aftermarket.com/

Hope this helps.

Thanks guys. I just decided to make it easy and order tires with my wheels at the same time and have them install new sensors while mounting and just have package shipped complete. That way i dont have to worry about finding right sensors and also a shop that wont damage my new wheels while trying to mount tires... thanks for your responses
