Help Tires for G37X
Tires for G37X
I need tires for my 2013 G37 and would like some suggestions.
IMPORTANT
Quiet ride, low road noise
Reasonable all weather performance (my G37 is unlikely to see much snow/ice)
NOT IMPORTANT
High mileage
Low price
High speed cornering on dry pavement
Thanks,
Kurt

I have a 2011 X Sedan. Recently put on Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetrics. I was going to get Michelin’s, but I’m very impressed with the wet traction, comfort, and low road noise on these tires. Haven’t driven in snow with them yet, and haven’t had them long, maybe 7K. Wearing perfect and actually handle very well. They’re a decent tire for a daily driver. My .02
The Michelin Defender or Continental PureContact would be a good fit based on your criteria. If noise is a concern, you want to avoid most of the Ultra High Performance All Seasons, they are louder and stiffer then a normal touring or grand touring A/S models. If you change your mind and want to trade a little road noise for better acceleration, road feel, grip and braking the X sedan responds very well to the Michelin Pilot Sport 3 A/S, the BF Goodrich Comp2 A/S's and the Continental DWS.

my 0.02 cents on the DWS06, i know a few ppl above mentioned liking them but I had them on my X with the stock rims and really hated them, they were always noisy and never had any grip even in commuter traffic....I hated them so much I sold them after about one season, my old worn out Yokohama Avid tires and even my winter tires were better than those on my X...
That being said on my wifes little Honda I really love them and still have a set on there...I don't know if it was the combo of the stock tire sizes and the much higher weight of the G but I feel like they aren't a good match for the G.
I would have suggested the Michelin Pilot Sport 3 A/S as I have never found them to be very loud, but as another poster mentioned they may be so YMMV...the best touring tire that I have had (super quiet and great gas mileage) is the Michelin Primacy MX4V so that would be my recommendation...this is still the tire I get for my moms car as those are the things she values

DWS06 have slightly narrow tread width per section ratio. To get DWS06 that have same contact patch as OEM tires (awd coupe) I have to get 245/45 R18. IMO the stock 225/50 tires are undersized for a car pushing 3900 pounds.
