Tire Sizes for Trim

Hello All,

I wanted to see if I could find some experiences concerning tire sizes for my trim. I bought a 2012 G37xS Coupe a few yrs. ago and it's the best damn car I've owned. The dealer put some G-max's on it and they're about pooped. Dry summer weather here is about 50 days/yr so stuck with all tread choices. I'm leaning towards some P-zero all season Plus, may be driven to some Pilot AS3's, but my main concern is with size.

I definitely want to go wider but was looking for some guidance from experience considering my AWD trim and coupe wheelbase. Car dude instinct tells me to keep the 225/45/19 front and move to 245/40/19 back to not beat down the power steering. I don't plan on lowering because of driveways and would like to keep some sidewall to minimize the already huge fender gap. Is 245/45/19 all around even a viable option to maintain sidewall at +/- a few on speedo? I have read forums suggesting 245/40's all around as well as posts recommending 250's stating they keep better OEM variance.

Does anyone have experience with wider sizes and the AWD coupe? I've read so much on what would work, but DID a certain setup work out for anyone that they prefer over stock?

Thanks in advance for any advice. This site rocks and has helped me with so much other stuff already.

245/45/19 would be almost 28" tall so you'd be an inch too tall.

245/40/19s will work well on your 19x8.5 wheels, and the diameter is perfect for AWD compatibility. Also 245/40s are the most common 19s so you should be able to find the exact tire you want at probably better pricing than most other sizes
