Enkei PDC 18x8 +40 ET

Hello,

I have 09 G37xS sedan. My stock setup is 18x7.5 Offset +45 with 225/50R18 tires. I love the look of the new Enkei PDC rims and looking to order in 18x8 Offset +40. Will run 245/45R18 tires with the PDC rims. I've done my tire math using https://www.myg37.com/forums/tire_rim_calculator.php

My questions are:

1. Can anyone see any problems in terms of fitting with my new/proposed PDC setup? I don't want to run spacers and don't have the big brake kit
2. Does anyone have any experience with the PDC rims. Wondering how they rank in terms of durability and performance compared to other Enkei models?
3. What size lug nuts would I need?
4. Any problems running 245 tires on 8" wide rims? I see many people doing this, wondering if there is a loss in performance?

Thanks

1. Pretty non aggressive fitment. You shouldn't have any troubles.
2. They're in Enkei's entry level cast lineup. Should be just fine.
3. Any lug nuts designed for aftermarket wheels in a 12x1.25mm thread should work
4. No problems

If they have the same wheels in a 8.5" width I'd go with those on the 245s, the 8" is just a bit narrow, it won't really be a problem but an 8.5" is an ideal mount for the 245.

8 is the only width for the 18" version. Looks like a wheel more intended for FWD applications. I'm a fat tire kinda guy so I would be ok with it, but you are right, 245 is pushing it a bit.

Yeah, there is no 18x8.5 option available on the PDC. That was actually my ideal size, and was looking into the 18x8.5 Enkei NT03+M first. However, my price almost doubles for that rim. Hence why I asked if anyone had any experience with the PDCs.. they seem very reasonably priced

Given that I won't be taking this car to track, just some spirited driving at best .. I think the PDC seems a better choice

Thanks again for the help!

I wonder how much the 245's will cantilever on 8 inch wheels?

I personally like it when the tire looks fat on the wheel. Makes it look more like a race car. Back when I was racing Miatas in SCCA, I used to run 205's on 15x6.5 inch Rotas. For one 3-month stint, I ran 225's on those 6.5's. They looked absolutely awesome. Wish I still had pics.

You'll be fine.

This is a 245/45R18 Yokohama YK580 on the stock non-sport G37 coupe wheels, which would be 18x8 +43. Keep in mind, your mileage might vary depending on the tire you choose - some run wider than others.

Funnily enough - absolutely stock, including within spec camber. I think this one may have come off the rear, but I can't remember. They've been sitting in my garage for a very long time now.

As an aside, the NT-03+Ms look good.
