Agreed. I almost went with the Comp 2 A/S, but opted for the Conti DWS06. I wish Costco sold Continental tires.

I can't believe I just read "I can't even do 100"..... and knowing it's with snow tires and obviously in snow/sleet/slush....

Like a few guys here put it: buy good tires and save your life and the others around you.

Yeah Jordan, just take it easy until you get quality tires back on your beast, not worth you or others' safety trying to push your G on poor tires.
FWIW you can find tires for great prices on tirerack.com, they have closeouts and rebates that make the purchase affordable, and most of their UHP and Max Performance tires are above average quality.

name of said tires?

This guy is willing to put his business REP in the line selling Chinese tires "all day" as he says it". lol

Says he's sold this particular brand for 4 years and never really had any issues. He also says majority of tires are made in China.

^^^ I know you aren't defending the YouTube video, and I'm not attacking you. I'm just carrying on convo...

Maybe every tire is made in china, but that doesn't make every tire poor quality! Hell, made in the US of A doesn't mean it's a quality product ether! But my rule of thumb is, don't cheap out on tires or brakes!

Or rims! And don't use spacers.. They're not meant for road use. Only show.

Signs posted on I95 in Va. "Speed in excess of 80 MPH is reckless driving. Enhanced penalties"

Plenty of police and camera's overhead and on every entrance and exit

You could end up having your vehicle impounded, wind up in jail with possible loss of license and insurance.

Think about that!

As others mentioned don't cheap out on tires and brakes. Your life and others depend on them.

Well your friend sounds dumb. If I listened to everything my friends said, my life would be very different. If you must keep those tires, drop the pressure to 34ish and slow it down a bit. As long as they don't fall apart, they'll get you A to B just fine until you can afford a better set.

For the record, you said you were looking at the BFG COMP 2's, I have them and love them. Very sticky for all seasons and they ride like rails in the rain. Hands down, the best all season tire I have ever owned on any of my cars.

another thing that can affect handling - tire size

what size did you purchase ? - we can compare it against the OEM size
