This is a common misconception in regards to how much thread needs to be held by the lug nut to be safe. There is no magic number of turns, the standard rating in order for it to be deemed safe, is for the lug nut to hold as much thread as the stud bolt is thick.

IIRC the thread pitch and stud thickness in the case of the Nissan/Infiniti 12x1.25 translates to that 6 full turns but YMMV

On my current car two wheels ago I measured it out and on the 12x1.25 turned out to be 4 turns since you measure the bolt thickness, not including the threads.
