Powder Coated My Wheels Yesterday

I had some curb rash on the two driver's side wheels, so instead of touching up those two or repairing those two, I decided to take my G to an old buddy's shop and have him completely refinish all 4. I decided on a black base with a gunmetal gray on top. I like they way they turned out. Tell me what you think.

Looks like a superb job, and a great shade for your black G. Since your buddy knows what he's doing I'd talk him in to painting those calipers, here's a shade that would rock on that coupe

Thanks. Great idea! I like that color of orange. Last night I started thinking about painting the calipers. I also want to paint the rotors black where the pad doesn't hit.

These look infinitely (or infinitily?) better than my stock wheels. It's strange how the driver's side has the rashes and not the passenger side?
And as Brad said, I'd hit those calipers with some paint/powdercoat. Burnt copper is also my favorite!

Had too much to drink one night so I let a friend drive me home in my car and she curbed it. I couldn't get too mad as she got me home safely, so...

The wheels really weren't bad, but it was enough for me to use it as an excuse to get them all refinished .

Why do you hate them? I've only got 3k miles or so on mine but so far I'm pleased... I have 245/40R19 Dunlop Signature HPs in the rear.

Are yours noisy at all? Mine started to increase in volume at about 5K miles.

Other than that they have been pretty good so far. Not great for grip but they aren't supposed to be.

I got mine Powdercoater about 2 months ago. They are just a gloss black but I think they look fantastic. Have not curbed them yet not do I ever hope to but this is what mine look like incase you were interested! I am highly please with how they turned out and think it is way worth the money for someone who can't afford new rims

Not yet, but I just went back and checked and I've put less than 2K miles on them, so they could get louder in the future (which I won't be happy about). I have loud tires on that Saturn Vue that you may be able to see in the 1st pic and it drives me crazy. They sound like the 40" Super Swampers that are on my Jeep. Lol. Here's hoping my tires stay quiet. If not, they won't stay on the G very long.

Where in GA are you? I'm in Birmingham which is probably reasonably close... it's a one day job if you wanted to drive over for the day. I dropped off my car at 5:30 AM yesterday (I'm an early bird) and he called me back at 2:30 PM when it was ready.
