can I save my work wheels???

hey guys! So I have a set of work wheels ts1 and the lip and dish is no shiny any more. I think the previous owner had the lip repaired. I tried wet sanding it with 2000 grit today and see that there is a layer of what looks like clear on top? any of you guys have any idea if I can fix this myself? can I sand down the wheel and Polish it?

Your best bet, if you have no experience refinishing metal, is to bring it to a qualified refinisher at this point. They'll have to strip all the clear to get down to the bare metal. It's fairly easy, if a bit tedious, to get the mirror finish back but they'll need to respray with clear. You can have them leave as is but extra precautions and constant cleaning will be needed to maintain the finish.

What ape said, for best results need to strip everyone off and start from scratch. It's pretty simple but time consuming. On the plus side, you can have them redone to any color you want...might be a good time to switch things up.
