285/35/19r, 255/40/19f on oem 19"
285/35/19r, 255/40/19f on oem 19"
In an effort to try something a little different than the 245/40/19 275/35/19 setup on the oem 19" s rims, I was thinking about going 285r and 255f
I can't find really any info on this. Does anyone have any pictures they can post up please?

A 285 on a 9" is pretty wide, this will result in a pinched mount, the 9.5" is the minimum wheel width recommended. If you don't plan on really pushing the G to the limit they'll be fine, but sidewall rolling may occur when pushed to the edge.
Curious to see what it would look like because I think I'd be able to determine if they are too wide but I see what you're saying regarding a 9" rim.
a buddy of mine has a 135i and he went too big in the rear and the car drives funny now... defintiely do not want that situation on my hands after shellin out 1k on tires and mount and balance.

I mean...they don't recommend 225 on a 9.5 but people do it for that stretch life
All about what the OP drives like...as Ryne said there's a reason 245/40 and 275/35 is the most common upgrade.
255 on an 8.5 isn't an issue, Audi does this for all their wheels of that size.
