2011+ TPMS Programming & New Wheels??

Yes I've already searched...

And after much research and reading, I've found that no one has yet found a DIY reset to the TPMS light on the 2011-2013 models yet. It appears that when people get new wheels and sensors installed, the light may still come on afterwards until it is reset again.
I've bought some coupe wheels that came without the TPMS sensors and thought about swapping my OEM ones, but every shop I called wanted to charge me extra to do this so I just bit the bullet and found some OEM sensors on ebay for $80 total.
Now I have to get them installed and programmed to my car (which is still going to cost a bit).

My question is... For everyone with 2011+ models who got new wheels, what did you do for the TPMS sensors? Did you have any issues with them? Did you just forego them and deal with the annoying light? I'm wondering if it's worth dropping $200 just to install these things

I simply put up with the TPMS light when my winter wheels are on. After a while I didn't notice it.

TPMS light off = $200+
TPMS light on = no cost

I do check my pressures about twice per month in the interest of safety and fuel economy. (every little bit of help is needed with that thirsty engine)

I just bought new wheels/tires a little over a month ago for my 2011 G.

Had them installed at America's Tire and paid $40 a piece for new TPMS (the cheapest I found on Amazon were $35). They programmed them at no additional cost.

I'm not sure what brand TPMS they used.

After the new sensors were programmed, I drove about 50 miles and the warning light came on indicating 'no sensors found'.
Had them reprogrammed and have had no issues since.

I wouldn't have been able to tolerate the instrument panel warning light without the sensors.
