Dunlop SP Sport Maxx A1-A A/S
I have a 2012 G37xS Sedan that is getting close to 40k miles and I'm looking for a good replacement set of tires. The OEMs ones are Dunlop SP Sport Maxx A1-A A/S, but is that still considered a good tire?
I'm also contemplating getting separate Winter/Summer tires living in the North East, but I'm not sure if it's worth the cost to have two sets. What are your thoughts on just having a good all-season tire? I just use it for general commuting, nothing crazy.

Good all seasons are good if you don't get a lot of snow/ice, and don't care about how well the car handles in summer. If you get a decent amount of winter, and enjoy the driving dynamics of good tires spring for two sets, knowing you'll get twice the life out of them. If your winters are fairly mild but you still want to enjoy summer, get a set of sticky summer tires and then some all weather tires for winter or something.
The oe Dunlop isn't a bad tire, still a top 10 performer, but there's better out there. On the summer only side, I would look at the Pilot Super Sport or BFG GForce Sport Comp-2. Both are great options if you plan on a separate winter/summer set. For all seasons, Conti's DWS06 is a G37 fav as well as the BFG Comp-2 A/S. The Conti is a bit better winter side while BFG better wet.
