Help Downsizing from 20s. Need help with tires

Downsizing from 20s. Need help with tires
Hey guys, I recently picked up a set of 18x9.5 +38 set of Niche Verona wheels for my G37xS. Got them for really cheap. More than half the original price brand new.
Down sizing from 20x9 +35 running 245/35/20 on all 4 corners. What tires should I run for the 18s?
First Question is how will these sit in the wheel well? I have a set of 5mm spacers at home sitting in the garage as well as 20mm spacers on the rear for my 20s at the moment.
I really want to have a meaty (Fat) tire stance now. I really want the comfort in the ride back.
A Friend recommended 265/40/18 or 275/35/18 keep in mind, these will be squared.
But the Ideal size looks to be 255/45/18
