17" OEM wheels fitting on the Sport ?

Hi guys -

Will the 17" OEM wheels fit on a G37X Sport that comes with 18" wheels?

I think so but was wondering if the brakes are larger on the sport?

I have 17" OEM Wheels for winter treads and need to make sure they will fit on the Sport model.

Thanks!

If you have the sport brakes with the much larger calipers on the front and rear, they do not. You will know in a second if you have the sport brakes. The X Sport Package was mainly cosmetic and there are hardly any X models in this part of the county, so I do not recall if the package includes the brakes or not. You can find the Sport Wheels for cheap used, and they look about 10x better than the stock 17s, so I would target those if you have the sport brakes.

The X model doesn't include the larger brakes. The 17's will fit perfectly fine.

Half correct. xS sedan does not, xS coupe does. The sedan gets shafted for performance goodies.

350z Anniversary wheels are on of few wheels that clear the Akebonos with no problems. 17s do not clean the Akebonos

I really like those wheels. Are they hard to find?

Just in case anybody cares, our 2009 G37x sedan (non-Sport) was totaled a couple of weeks ago. Had it and babied it since new. Thankfully nobody was hurt.

I had a second set of winter tires on OEM rims (again 17")

So I'm back out trying to find a newer G37 (2013?) sedan and want to reuse my winter set of tires/rims.

My reason for liking the non-sport is the seat width. Not that I have a big *** or anything but the sport seat bolster is a tad narrow.

I haven't decided about the ride verses handling but the ride on the 17" was pretty nice.

Now I have to decide if we get a Sport or non-Sport. Not really much difference it sounds like in terms of brakes ect (I remember this all now).

There are way more Sports for sale used than the non-Sport.
