Plugged Tire
Good to know, I saw your Toyo's during my research which I think maybe a little to summer based for me. I live outside of Philadelphia so occasionally we get slammed but I could simply work from home during that time. However going out and drifting in a little snow is fun every once in a while. The extremeDWS from continental keeps catching my eye.
The Toyo T1 Sports are their summer tire and they would be a good choice if you have other ways to deal w/ the cold in your G. The Michelin Pilot A/S tires seem to get nice reviews for A/S tires but most Michelins will stretch your budget a bit. All depends what you're after, G/L w/ your situation.
^^^i put the conti extreme contact dws on a prior owned car. Nice tires but have a tendency to get very noisy over time. Being in Philly (lived there myself for 7 years) a good all season will do you well.

My response in this thread earlier must of been a precursor to what happened a few weeks ago. Noticed one tire was losing pressure relative others; about 1lb every 4-5 days. Got around to pulling the wheel off today to discover this.

It must of been there a while as the head was completely sheared off. Took a while to find the leak too. It was in one of the tread blocks, about 3" inwards from the inside shoulder. From the motorcycle days, I've always carried a plug kit with just in case. Should be good enough until I replace the entire set next spring. I'm just glad it wasn't a bead or valve stem leak - can't really fix that with hand tools.
Btw, tire pressure never got low enough to trip the tpms. Since the car isn't driven daily, I typically check tires at least every 2 weeks. It raised concern when psi difference is more than 1/2lb.

One option no one mentioned if you have a partially used set of tires and just need to replace 1 due to a non-repairable leak is to check e-bay for a used tire of the same make and model. I have lucked out in the past.
Just make sure you get one that hasn't had repairs and has the dot number visible. If you know what to look for, you'll get a good, safe tire.
