Niche wheels
My experience with the Niche Enyo M115 and the **** poor customer service I received.

As soon as I got my car last November, I started looking for wheels I thought would look good on it. I really wanted a wheel with a smooth transition from the outside(the face I guess) to the barrel; much like you find on a Vossen VPS wheel where there is no "step" up into the barrel. Not wanting to spend a ton I landed on the Niche Enyo M115. It also wasn't out yet(as a cast wheel anyway) so that was a plus.

I contacted Niche to get more info about the wheel and the referred me to AutoCustoms to place my order and have them shipped out as soon as available. Red flag: it took me about a week to get in touch with someone at AutoCustoms. I should have just ordered with someone else. Anyway the wheels were delivered(Feb9) and just sat there in their boxes until I had the car dropped(Mar28) & aligned(Apr8).

Fast forward <2 months and I notice that the finish on the wheels is peeling.
I don't track the car and I'm very carful when I park so the wheels have never been curbed. I contacted Niche about the issue.

Jun1: At first I got a very dismissive response from Max telling me to return them to my dealer. I'm obviously not paying to ship the wheels back to AutoCustoms so they can see there's no physical damage to the wheels. At this point he gets aggressive and is responding to me in all caps(very professional I know).

Jun10: I wait and receive no further communication about the issue so I contact them again. This time I get a response from a more reasonable John. Having recently realized that they have an authorized dealer in Virginia(Blockstar), I suggest that I go there, have them confirm there is no physical damage to the wheels and report back to Niche.
Let me just say that communication is not their strong suite.
Anyway, I have Blockstar check out the wheels and report that to John. I literally had to email every 2 days or I would go ignored. After 5 days and a couple emails he said he would have Blockstar's rep get in contact with them. It's been 5 days since our last exchange and I have yet to receive a response.

I know folks here have Niche wheels and are satisfied with them, but this is my experience. I'm not happy with the product and the experience thus far has been rubbish. I would advocate against anyone giving them another dime . You get what you pay for I guess.

UPDATE:

After speaking with Jenny at AutoCustoms, they are going to replace the wheels.
Also most of you are probably more experienced than I am with aftermarket wheels, but I am concerned that this could happen again. I somehow got it in my mind that the wheel being matte with a tinted face makes this likely. Am I crazy? I ask because I do have the option of going with another wheel. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the review, sorry to hear that they're not trying to make things right. A lot of potential buyers on this site, and poor customer service can cost much more than simply satisfying a customer. I thought you dealt w/ Andrew at Treadepot, but sounds like Niche sent you elsewhere.

Hopefully you'll have something positive turn your way, keep us posted.
A real shame as I saw some pics w/ that wheel set and your G really looks nice. Is it the clearcoat that's peeling or also the paint underneath?

Man that is terrible all around. Niche has a good looking wheel set. They should take care of customers. I hope everything works out for you in the end. I'm sure your finished with Niche for your lifetime tho

Yeah Niche pointed me to AC but in hindsight I made a couple newb mistakes here. 1) I bought my wheels and tires separately (I stash money monthly to spend on the car so I don't go crazy), and ended up spending more. 2) I should have bought from someone who's active on the forums. 3) I didn't yet know that Andrew at TD is great to work with; I actually bought my tires from him.

As for the peeling, I think it's the clear. It seems like a tinted clear cause the peeling areas are brighter than the rest of the wheel.

Yes Red, it always baffles me when companies don't think customer service/satisfaction is an important part of business. No, I'll never buy another set of Niche wheels.

As far as trying to rectify the situation...essentially they're saying this is an issue for the dealer. I don't get that since it appears to be a problem with the manufacturing/finishing. Either way I've been in touch with AutoCustoms and they, at least, have asked for pictures. Will keep updating here.

Nice to hear that your getting the wheels replaced. Love the way you decided to give the update lol.

I have no idea of changing finishes would have any bearing on the wheels potentially peeling or not. But if I had it in my head that it somehow might have caused the damage, or even slightly contributed to it happening....I think I would be unable to stay with the same finish as before. That's just silly head games, but I wouldn't be able to help it lol. Good luck with your decision. Congrats on the new new wheels!

Glad to hear they're going to rectify the situation. IMO you may be better off w/ a different wheel finish, the dual finish wheel you have now may be more prone to problems You might want to look at another wheel of a single color/finish. There's many Niche owners on the site that haven't reported any problems so you might want to do some searching around and see if there's another set that you like in a solid finish. AFAIK your wheel is one of the very few Niche wheels that have that finish combination.

Newt I was thinking exactly that about the dual finish. Not willing to risk it so going with a single finish. I think it'll be the Form in the same specs. I was actually considering this the first time around but at the time I believe 20x8.5 wasn't available and I really want to stick to 245 on 8.5" and 285 on 10" - don't like the look of stretched tires.

Yep, those Form wheels are a nice choice, hopefully nothing but happy days ahead. Let us know how round 2 plays out.
