Thumbs down Why Michelin, WHY??

After all of the time I've spent searching, researching, and saving for the wheels I want, when I finally pull the trigger on ordering them the vendor tells me Michelin has a national backorder on the 275 rears! I spend a long time researching but once I'm ready, patience is not one of my strong points.

Yep, I feel your pain. Had it happen a couple of times, both times with an uncommon size. They don't want to do a manufacturing run and have them sit around in the warehouse. But understanding it didn't make it suck any less!

Its possible 285 might cause rubbing with his wheel setup.

If not, he should deff go 285's

285 is always back ordered as well. It seems they produce these tires one at a time as people order them. They use to be in stock more often, the last 2 times I've purchased them nobody had any sizes in stock in 20" No 245/35, no 255/35, no 275/30 and no 285/30.

It wouldn't hurt them to have a few in stock, it's not like these tires last for 4 or 5 years of regular driving. I'd guess many people are ordering them every year to 2 years.

Yeah, this year has been tight with production from a lot of tire companies. Makes things tough for everyone. A good alternate would be B-Stone's S04 Pole Position.

Thanks for the suggestion, Neal. I have my heart set of the Michelin's for now, though.

I considered the 285 option instead but couldn't get a definite answer whether it would rub or not, whereas the 275 seems to be good.
