Liquid Platinum G37 - Black Wheels

Hi everyone. I am a returning G owner. I had a 2005 G35 Coupe and a 2007 G35x in the past and I recently picked up a 2013 G37x. It has stock 17" wheels that I will use for winter but I am in need of a good summer set of wheels/tires. Shoes are important, they can make or break a car.

Anyhow, I looked at several pictures on the website and really liked the 2014 370z wheels in black but OMG they are expensive. I am not sure why?

I really like the look of black wheels on the Liquid Platinum G. I was wondering if you have any suggestions on where I can find the wheels above (other than ebay) or if you have suggestions for black wheel alternatives.

I appreciate the feedback.

Thanks.

The above wheels are forged (price reflected) and the particular ones pictured were powder-coated black by the ebay seller (price reflected). They are also staggered so you should take some time to research the most appropriate wheel widths / tire sizes you can use safely on your occasionally AWD G.

Are you seeing these for sale individually or as a set? As mentioned, they are staggered, which means the rear is wider than the front.

Given the X model you have, I think your best bet, if you really want these wheels, is to get all 4 of them as the front wheel, and then all 4 tires can be identical. I think running 4 of the rear wheel is going to be too wide up front.

This will ensure harmonious balance of zen with your ride, and also allow a full rotation.

I saw them as a set. I don't mind staggered as long as they don't cause issues with the AWD system. I had a 335xi with a staggered 19" set and they rode well. Only issue I had was the low profile tires didn't fair so well with pot holes, railroad tracks, etc. Cracked both front rims and had to have them repaired.

They HAD a 20% promo code (expired yesterday apparently), looks like they have a 15% off code now, enter 15welcome in the promo box at checkout and they come out to $391 each. These promo codes are pretty regular over there but just have to time it right. Even the $391 price is about the best you'll find I think
