275s on the rear 9" and 245 on the front 8.5", is the most common setup, I wouldn't run 275s on an 8.5".

Side question: Would a 245/275 setup cause any issues with the TPMS?

Are any of his statements true?
I got my PSS at Costco, should you go that route, make darn sure they are OK with mounting them. Their policy seems pretty strict on only mounting OE sized tires

Bridgestone Potenza S04? I had them before my PSS and honestly, can't tell much of a difference. The S04s had better standing start traction in the wet.

Not sure if you'd have to have the sensors updated, but if so any chain tire store would be able to do it.

Well, you're right about their policy. As I was trying to order the PSS's at Costco, the tire tech looked up my OE sizes and told me that they wouldn't be able to do it. He said that it's against their policy to mount tires that have more than a 2.5% difference in size compared to the OE tires. He also said that he contacted Michelin to get a special order placed for the 275's and that they're no longer manufacturing them (I guess due to low demand).

I ended up ordering the PSS's, but in the OE sizes for the fronts and rears. Oh well

What a freaking panzy.

Little does he know there is only .7% difference in between the tires.

What did you end up paying for all 4?

Trust me, I argued with the dude, but he refused to install the larger tires. Came out to $940 out the door for the OE tires. I'll have them installed next week.

He's just following their policy. I'm sure he doesn't want to risk losing his job over it.

.7% in overall diameter, but maybe he's measuring width

My PSS were the first tires I purchased at Costco. I stood outside and watched the install, they were pretty methodical. Checked the torque 3 times. I've already been back once to have them add some air.

For anyone else reading this thread, I have the 245/275 PSS on the stock 19" rims and they are fantastic.

https://www.myg37.com/forums/wheels-...er-sports.html

I would recommend the 245/275 over the stock 225/245 sizes as the tire fills out the wheel gap much better, doesnt have the stretched look, and provides with a wider tire in the back for a larger contact path and helps put down the power better to the rear wheels.

Spend the extra money to get the wider tires and you will be happy for years to come.
