So i'm been reading up on staggered vs squared set up and i think i have an idea of what route i'm going to take but would like some suggestions and or opinions..

currently i have the oem sport duck feet with stock size tires on a 2010 sedan.
i'm looking for a set of the 18" anniversary wheels i wonder if i should get a

option 1:
standard staggered 7.5f 8.5r

option 2:
7.5 all around. i think i would be sacrificing some grip this route. neutral handling tho? tire rotations a big plus

option 3:
8.5 all around. I think grip would be maintained. neutral handling?

What would some of the pros and cons of each setup be? looks, handling, grip, etc..the benefit of rotating tires seems like a no brainer to me.
i'm kinda leaning towards option 3. to me it seems like the best of both worlds option.. but i wonder what effect the steering would have with a bigger front rim. would it be an upgrade or downgrade? thanks guys!

 

I agree with your selection. The ability to rotate the tires is a giant plus IMO.

 

What about doing like 18x9+35 all around?.. it will sit flush and clear the Calipers and the handling will get a little better..

 

for the oem anniversary rims i'm only limited to 7.5 or the 8.5
the cheaper cost of a smaller size is a benefit i like also

 

I think I'm getting ready to put my 19s sport stock wheels n tires on the classifieds. They are staggered but the tires only have 15K on them.

 

I wound up buying two sets of Rays and running them squared. One for summer and one for winter.

 

Dang bro must be nice to be able to own 2 sets of Rays

 

Following this topic closely as once winter is over, I will be putting 255-45-18 on the stock rims, see what handling does. Would be open to a set of 9s all around, so I can run a 285 on all 4 corners. Haven't seen anyone do that yet...

 

what about doing 20x10.5 all around

 

285s will be a pinch mount on 9s, (min recommended rim for 285s is a 9.5) I'd run 275s on 9s, and like you said, haven't seen 285s on all fours, might get pretty close lock to lock in front.

 

Are 275 on front OK?

 

If blnewt says a 275 will fit, then that is what I will go with.

Now to just find a set of rims I like....

 

You're going to have a very tight window of offsets that will work, so hopefully the wheels you like will have that offset.
