Winter Tire Pressure

Just read an article that indicates winter tires should be inflated higher than factory spec. Anyone know if this is true?

Here's a good read (along with the other three sections), and the 10% minus max inflation seems to be a good yardstick, should also apply to snow tires

Thanks for the link. Bookmarked that site, lots of good info.
Also this thread got me thinking since my Blizzaks were mounted last week. Found this info on the Tirerack.

Great read but still confusing. Kinda a trial an error in a way. With the Subaru they didnt go by the door sticker because of knowledge. Also the myth of a wider tire is a bigger contact patch.
