All Season Tires?
All Season Tires?
Hello everyone, recently Ive been looking into purchasing a new set of tires because the Michelin Pilot Super sports on my car now are almost completely bald and winter is almost here. I have a staggered set up with the fronts being 225/40/19 and the rear being 240/45/19. I have an 08 G37s coupe with 42k miles on it. I live in Illinois so I'm sure I'll need a replacement ASAP. I've looked at Continental ExtremeContact DWS but I'm not sure. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Go to Tirerack.com and look at the Ultra High Performance (UHP) All Season tire rankings and match it up with the Consumer Reports ratings from a few months ago. Add the rankings of the tires you like and divide by two. That will give you the average score of what i condsider the two best resources for tire ratings.
The Conti's you mention are great wet weather tires but you will give up a bit of performance.

Not much to choose from really in those stock sizes. Best oe option all season tire would be the Yokohama Avid Envigor, and those are slightly above average in the winter. Many will run 245/40-19 to open up more tire options (like Conti DWS, Hakook S1 Noble2, and B-Stone RE970AS).
