Question Refinished OEM Wheel Result Request

I am considering refinishing a set of OEM wheels and I am interested in what has the been the experience of others. Has the refinish job been as good as the factory finish in terms of finish quality and durability?

Are there any really good questions to ask other than are they powder coated? I am aware some use a paint finish rather than a powder coat. Powder coat has to be more durable but likely limited in colors. Any insider information on what to ask for?

I have the standard silver wheels and what to change to the darker Hyper Silver but I am heavily leaning towards this BMW Chrome Shadow

Also, any advice on who is the goto shop in the Houston area and who to avoid for repair/refinish??

Much appreciated.

Just be sure if your OEM wheels have any deep dings that they get filled w/ metal as a bondo type filler won't get the bond to the powdercoat. If your OEMs are in poor shape it would probably be best to get them painted rather than powdercoated.
That's about the only real concern, might try a yelp on the powder coaters in your area if you don't have anyone you know that had it done.
G/L and look forward to before & after pics.
