Ordered new wheels and tires(20's)
Arriving separately w/out tpms.
Do you recommend buying new TPMS sensors or can I swap out my sensor in my factory wheels and install them in my new setup?? Will they work even though new tires may require different psi??

Yes you can swap the sensors from your old wheels.

If you're not going to use the old wheels again, simply swap the sensors. Ensure that you use them in the same location.

I have a 2013 G37S M6 Sedan which came with summer tyres. So I had to buy new wheels and winter tyres that I must swap twice a year. My tyre dealer installed third-party cloneable TPMS sensors on the winter wheels. They work like a charm, I don't need to do any re-pairing when swapping the wheels and the dash light does not come on. The sensors were also cheaper than the OEM version.

The above procedure may be useful if you plan to use both sets of wheels.

Why would you need to do that?

 

New sensors would require to be reset either at the dealer or through a DIY.

 

Ensure that you use them in the same location.
If this was true, tire rotation would not be possible?
