Wheels with Curb Rash
Didnt see a sub forum that I thought was the right place so decided to ask here. Looking for rims and it seems hard to find anything on the east coast and most are in SoCal. How is it though that most have some type of curb rash? Is it the low profile tire or people just are not careful when driving? What would be the typical cost to get rims fixed? Add the cost of the rims shipped, mounting and remounting for TPMS and then getting fixed would it be better just to find rims that are new ones.

They have curb rash because they are owned by drivers who can't drive and/or park worth a crap. This includes a lot more people than you might think.
Whether or not it's worth it is subjective. In the Houston area repairs for curb rash runs about $100-125 per wheel. If you are buying cheap wheels, no it's not worth it. Spend a few more bucks and buy brand new ones without damage. If you are buying something more expensive or rare, then it may be worth it to you.

i have a set of 19's with absolutely no curb rash. 8000 miles on oem bridgestones. i was keeping them around just in case i ever wanted to put back to stock, but i guess i could let them go for the right price.
