Coupe AWD Rims

Hey guys

I've been reading a lot lately on different forums on what kind of mods people have done to their G. One thing I know I want to do is get some nice wheels for my ride. However, I have an AWD model...

Is it true I cannot go with a staggred set up? That would totally blow.

Thanks

you can go staggered but you will be looking at some major problems within a year or two.

So if you like to keep your car working well... staggered is not suggested.

Not TRUE,

This topic had been discussed in the forum multiple times,

So let me clear this up from personal experience and from other g37x members

I have the following setup :

Vossen CV1 20"
9.5 front
10.5 rear

Tire setup
245/35/20 front tires
285/30/20 rear tires

Then make sure you get the alignment done

And that's it, there so many posts with the same topic

Go staggered you mathematically ok and always remember for a staggered setup just respect the < 1% differential

With staggered wheels, you can't rotate them, so over time, the difference between front and rear may increase to be beyond the 'safe' zone.

I went with a square set for my X coupe.

I've done extensive research before going staggered on my g and well the AWD light Is an evasive light that will engage if ever you have any problem with the so called risky staggered setup look the difference in height is below 1" and the actually differential to stock setup is 0.33 which is acceptably below the 1% margin

Use the search feature and look up "g37x tires " many senior members have done this setup and it's perfectly safe. One moderator Blwnet I beleive explain very well on how well the staggered setup I mentioned above is perfect for the G37x and then for self assurance do the math your self.

I Love my G37x Staggered setup

Best Of Luck with your decision making

Lol ok then worst worst case scenario if uneven wear is the case "which it shouldn't be " but just keep in check with tire depth and if you noticed them really really uneven swap tires

Some X drivers are cautious sometimes to cautious but the main question is can you , according to the many members who have been using a staggered setup for years the answer is Yes but with the setup I mentioned earlier

Well I can say from the experience of myself and others that the above is false.

I have had one of my buddies drive with very similar setup as you mentioned. After a year of driving he had many transfer case issues and transmission problems. This is only one of a few people that I know who have had this issue.

So do as you will but realize that just because one vehicle has no issues the next may as it depends how you drive, alignment, suspension etc.

Take note that problems can happen when you do a staggered setup. Just giving you first hand experience. If you say "not true" you obviously do not know why the dealer says do not do a staggered setup on any x coupes.

Lol well I guess we all know a different group of people

Cheers, my dealer in MTL Canada Infiniti check out my setup and currently just verified everything is perfect on my ride
I did mention that I had to do an alignment to make sure my car was back to spec but besides that didn't have any issues.

To be honest I've seen the differential numbers and in my opinions the setup is more then suitable even over time

Cheers and best of luck making your decision
